With the ever increasing awareness and use of Social Media, Google now intends to deliver the most up-to-the-minute search results with its “real-time” service. Marissa Mayer, Google’s vice president of search products and user experience says “I would say that real-time search is the natural evolution of universal search.”

I have been on Twitter since January 2009. Our SEO consultant – Webmentor.ie – advised us to sign up to Twitter and although I’d never heard of it I signed up anyway and haven’t  looked back since.

Just over a year ago our SEO consultant – Webmentor.ie – advised us to sign up to Twitter. I thought it was a really silly name and didn’t actually hold out much hope for it but I signed up anyway. A few people have asked me about Twitter recently and what it’s all about.  I’m certainly not an expert and I wouldn’t profess to be able to teach about it but I do use Twitter daily and think I’ve got the hang of using it in an ‘ok’ way.  I guess it can seem quite daunting if you’re from the outside looking in.  In fact a few of my friends have said just that and not got past setting up their user name.  I’m not going to try to explain how to use it, just my view of what it’s all about.
